Subcommittees

The Barristers' Subcommittee is concerned with the views, interests, causes, and concerns of disabled barristers and advocates. Disabled barristers and advocates are welcome to join and input into the Association's activities, events and relationships at the Bar.
We welcome all registered and unregistered barristers and advocates who have held practising certificates, as well as second and third six pupils, those who are undergoing devilling, or those completing PEAT 2 as members.
We meet every quarter and encourage you to join and participate in our work. You will be helping make the Bar more accessible to disabled people.

The Solicitors’ Subcommittee is our steering group for all activity related to the solicitors’ profession. This Subcommittee represents the views, interests, causes, and concerns of disabled solicitors in the work of the Association, as well as hosting events and developing relationships among firms.
We welcome all registered and unregistered solicitors whose names appear on the Roll of Solicitors held by the Law Societies of England and Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, as well as trainee solicitors completing their training requirements in law firms as members.
We meet every quarter and encourage you to join and participate in our work, helping make the solicitors’ profession more accessible to disabled people.

The Students' Subcommittee focuses on student-related activity in the Association. It is a group for disabled students pursuing a law career and ensures their views influence our work, events and relationships. It welcomes all students over eighteen who wish to become lawyers and are studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, conversion course, bar course, IPLS course, LPC, SQE, PEAT 1, or overseas equivalent as members.
We meet every quarter and are led by a Chair, who is elected by the members of the Sub-Committee. We encourage you to join and take part in our work, helping to making the legal profession more accessible to disabled students.
