Welcome to the Disability in Law Forum by the Association of Disabled Lawyers ('the Forum')! Building a supportive network has always been at the forefront of our activities. This next step will bring more of you together. The Forum provides a safe space for members to learn, share, and discuss the topics related to being a disabled aspiring/practicing lawyer and have a say on the Association's work, goals and achievements. This is an unmoderated forum; however it is monitored by the Association, and users should be aware of the following standard guidelines to enable us to keep this a productive, safe, space:

The Association of Disabled Lawyers ('ADL') reserves the right to remove any contribution to the Disability in Law Forum ('the Forum') that does not meet these rules of conduct: 1. Keep comments and contributions to Forum threads or posts to discussion or Forum topic. 2. We encourage members to have open and candid discussions and debates. We will not censor members for expressing an opinion within the limits of these rules of conduct. However, all communications should be civil and polite. Members should treat each other with respect and consideration for all points of view. 3. ADL do not condone unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually orientated or racially offensive comments. This includes comments that are offensive to others with regards to religion, gender, nationality or other personal characteristic. Comments of this nature may result in suspension of your ability to post to forums and retain ADL membership. 4. Comments cannot condone illegal activity or incite people to commit any crime or prejudice on-going or forthcoming court proceedings (contempt of court) or break a court injunction. 5. Users are encouraged to discuss and share business knowledge and experiences, but this does not include self-promotion and spam. Comments that advertise or promote products or services are not allowed. 6. You may choose to make your own personal information public if you wish, however, to protect the privacy of members, and the privacy of others and to comply with the Data Protection Act 2018, members may not share others' personal information or personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses in this forum. 7. Members may not post material that is protected by copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner(s) of said copyright, trademark or other proprietary right. 8. All users must be 18 or over. 9. ADL membership is required to use the Forum.
